Week 32: Hudson Honors

As much as I complained about this class I will say that there were some good times.


Most Interesting Part of This Class: We always get off topic.
Least Favorite Part of This Class: It was right before lunch and I was always hungry.
Hardest I Laughed in This Class: That one time Jeffrey said something funny and Brody followed up with something else funny but not as funny as what Jeffrey said.
Favorite Memory from This Class: Of course all the reading, writing, and learning.
Best Thing About Hudson as a Teacher: She makes it fun and interesting.
Thing Hudson Could do to Make This Class Better For Future Classes: Nothing its a great class.
Any Final Comments for Hudson: I'll see you next year.

Week 31: Words From The Wise

I can feel it.. we are in the final stretch. As for advice, I'm not sure because everybody has their own ways of doing things and other things to do. But one of my biggest things is to just get involved because you are only this age once and you might as well do all the fun things you can. But I would say that if you are involved then make sure you stay on top of your work because at some points I struggled. Don't let anything get in the way of what makes you happy. This has been the quickest year so far and it is hard for me to wrap my head around being a senior next year so don't just wish it away.

Week 30: Who Are You?

This is kind of tough to pick just five people and still cover every aspect. But for starters I think I would pick my mother just because I know she wouldn't lie to me and she would pretty much fill me in on everything I need to know. She could also fill me in on my home life because she lives there too. Sister Sarah would be one too because she knows everything about me like all four of the aspects she could tell me what I need to know. I think she would say that she wouldn't know what to do without me. I would also choose my two best friends: Miranda Osborn and Jesse Swanson. They would pretty much have the social life covered. I'm pretty sure their perspectives would be good (hopefully). I think they would say I am a good friend and I'm kinda funny I guess. As for the fifth person, I'm not really sure. I don't have too much of a professional life to be covered. I just come to school which is what Jesse and Miranda are for. So for the academic aspect, I could probably choose a teacher that knows me pretty well. I've had the most classes with Ms. Krohn so she would probably just tell me I'm a genius. 

Week 29: We All Live in a Yellow Submarine!

We are off to look for land because that is apparently what Jeffrey wants to do and for some reason somebody left him as captain of the submarine. If you ask me that was a bad idea. Along the way we all end up hating each other but that's okay because it was pretty fun at first. And we made sure to have enough food for the whole trip. What we thought was so long was actually only 17 hours and 52 minutes until we found land and the trip was over. We were all healthy by the end because it was a short trip and we expected more.

Week 28: I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

Dear best friend,
Thank you for all the times that you have been there for me. I appreciate you more than you will ever understand. I feel like you are always there to support me. I especially notice it in volleyball and softball. Whenever I was having a bad day in volleyball, you always reassured me that I could get my serve over or hit the ball in. I never felt like I could but you made me believe. And you do the exact same thing for softball when I feel like I can't hit the ball for anything. There's a lot of times you are just there to cheer me up. And you are just great. And I could probably go on for a little while but you know how much I appreciate you! Thanks! Week 27: Welcome to the Black Parade

I have a ton of favorite songs but one that just popped into my head is This is How We Roll by Florida Georgia Line and featuring Luke Bryan. It's a pretty good song. The story begins when donuts were sitting in the thing at Casey's and they were bored so by using teamwork they pushed the door open and rolled out singing this is how we roll. They rolled forever because they can do whatever they want. And Florida Georgia Line saw them rolling and got the idea of the whole thing. Then they ate the donuts because they were hungry.

Week 26: Words in Retrospect

I know this has happened to me plenty of times and it really stinks. Like you just want to go back to them just to restart the argument because you have such a good comeback. But for the most part when I am arguing with my siblings I am pretty good at getting right back at them with a good comeback! I don't even have to really think about it. I'm pretty sure that if I were to go back and with my comeback it would completely change the situation. So in that case I usually do regret not coming up with a good comeback fast enough.

Week 25: Theme Songs

FRIENDS theme song is one of my favorites because I have literally heard it a million times. No matter what my theme song is about it would be country for the genre because otherwise it just wouldn't be me. But like so many things happen in life so I feel like the song would have to change. For the happy moments and different for the sad moments. I would get all my favorite country artists together just to sing my theme song. Like Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, George Strait, Montgomery Gentry, Carrie Underwood and many more. I'm sure I can convince them to sing for me! I think it would follow me around as long as I didn't completely change my life style to like a big city girl or something. It would literally just be about my life. Which is kind or boring so it probably wouldn't be very fun!

Week 24: Your Face Smells Like Grilled Cheese

I have a few inside jokes with my brothers. Like one of them is "he took the stairs" which started when we were watching Wipeout like 3 years ago but we still say it and it still makes us laugh so much even though nobody would think it is funny at all. Another one is "Francis, Happy Birthday." Or "I've heard of that before" We just have a grand time and laugh a lot. But I have a ton of inside jokes with Miranda and they make us laugh as much as they did when they happened. Like HASHTAG, and Narration and just so many more! I love inside jokes. I just think they are so much fun.

Week 23: Let’s Go to Japan! I’m Not Joking This Time!

If I could travel without any costs I would literally go everywhere. To like every state and all the countries. I want to see the whole world. But one place I really want to go that is still in the U.S. is Alaska. I really just think it is so gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of snow but the snow just looks so flawless in the pictures. But the main reason I want to go there is because I really want to see the Northern Lights. I think they are just so pretty and I would love to see it in real life. I also want to see the Eiffel Tower!

Week 22: And They Lived Happily Ever After…Sort of

Mickey and Minnie Mouse are literally meant for one another. They are both super cute mice and you think they would live happily ever after. They get married and go on a great honeymoon to the cheese factory. Love is in the air nothing could go wrong. But later Minnie sees a different side of Donald Duck and starts falling in love all over again. So Mickey turns to Daisy Duck but just can't fall in love again. Eventually Minnie leaves Mickey for good by getting the divorce papers finalized. Poor Mickey was so loyal. He had to go to a depression counselor. Sad ever after. 

Week 21: Celebrity Crushes

Oh golly. There are some pretty attractive celebrities out there. But one of my longest crushes is Luke Bryan. He could sing country music to me anytime he wants because yum! His voice is just perfect and I can party to his songs because they are perfect. I think on our perfect date I would definitely have him sing to me.  Then I feel like I could go out for a nice dinner just to get to know him well then I feel like he would be the type of guy that I could just cruise with all night! Lukey is my biggest crush but there are some other celebrities that I wouldn't mind getting to know!

Week 20: 7th Grade AGAIN?!?!

I think I might actually like to have a second chance. Because I hate the fact of growing up, it makes me pretty sad. The advice I would give myself is just to live life not worrying about what others think because in the end they really don't matter. I want to just have some fun. That was also the year we got second place in state for volleyball. So I would go back and practice way harder so I could go out on that court and give it even more and win state. Then moving forward I might know what to watch out for because I'm having the chance to relive it.

Week 19: I Never Knew That About You!

Hudson,
You will be very proud of me. I read so much in grade school that I got so many read up points and I got to be principal of the day. Bet you didn't know I liked to read that much. In fifth grade I was a pro writer. We did that Young Authors thing and I wrote a story. It was called Crazy Days with the Dixons. Grades 4-8 were entered in this contest and I was the top top winner. I got to go to ISU and learn all about books and meet some not famous authors and even got them to sign my book. I was quite the English nerd back in the day.
One time I memorized like 83 digits of Pi. I'm not sure why but it was pretty impressive. I don't really have any more truths...

Week 18: Siblings By Chance, Friends By Choice

I have seven fabulous siblings. I think it is pretty normal to have a big family but people are just so surprised when they find out I am the youngest out of eight. This is the order from oldest to youngest: Andy, Lisa, Matt, Phillip, Sarah, Justin, Patrick, and obviously the best for last. I can't share with you our inside jokes because then they would be outside jokes and that is not cool. We have made so many memories together especially when we younger. Those were the days. We still make plenty of memories and have great times. I love that we can joke with each other all the time and nobody gets insulted. Having a big family is super cool because you can always have somebody there for you because if one person gets mad at you just find somebody else to talk to. I would talk about each person individually but that would take a long time.

Week 17: Good News, Everyone!

Not a Futurama fan. People are so attached to technology that they are practically robots. Like people don't even know how to speak to each other. They hardly come in contact with others. They are driving around with hover cars and live in hover houses and it is really just a hover kind of world. Wait, 1000 years, maybe there is nobody around because that's a long time. Or maybe they found life on Mars and that's where everybody moved to. But regardless I could be the only person on Earth. And I think it would be a lot of fun and I could like party!!!
